 lution of the Prairie Seekers from a survey-driven exercise to immersive l
 earning. She will describe the tools and methods the program leverages\, p
 lus offer a glimpse of the future. Prairie Seekers is citizen science. It
  trains volunteers to assess prairie conditions and helps the Native Prair
 ies Association of Texas (NPAT) identify conservation priorities. The prog
 ram provides field training in the ecology\, biology\, heritage\, and pote
 ntial future of North Texas prairies. It explores prairie remnants\, large
  preserves\, ranch lands\, and city parks learning to value and protect th
 is irreplaceable landscape. Kate Morgan is a retired experimental physicis
 t\, a sixth-generation Texan\, and president of the NPAT Fort Worth Chapte
 r. She volunteers primarily for NPAT and in the Fort Worth Nature Center g
 reenhouse. She and her husband own a ranch in Wise County where they recen
 tly started a project to return 12 acres of Coastal Bermuda hayfield to na
