Dallas Arboretum Welcomes Community to Celebrate Independence Day July 2 to 4

July Admission is $5

Visitors and locals are invited to celebrate the fourth of July weekend at the Dallas Arboretum with $5 admission for those two years old and up. From July 2 to 4, the garden also offers free entrance to the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden with paid garden admission, thanks to free Kelley Family Days and the family underwriting the cost. In addition to local artists’ murals, activities include a  family fun weekend with hot dogs, sweet treats, concerts on the lawn and plenty of fun for everyone.

Summer at the Arboretum continues through August 14 with music, food, custom mural art and family fun in the 66-acre Dallas Garden. A highlight, carried over from Dallas Blooms, includes a massive pair of 13-foot-tall floral peacocks featuring ornately planted tails measuring more than 36 feet across.  Summertime can be hot, but there are shaded spaces for everyone to cool off and enjoy the wonders of nature.

Family Fun Weekends provide fun for the whole family: Country Critters Petting Zoo and face painting and family keepsake photos. Gil’s Elegant Catering offers $4 brownie sundaes, $2 hot dogs and root beer floats at the Terrace Café all weekend.
